As I write this part of the newsletter, I’m sitting on the couch with my foot in a bucket of ice and cold water. I typically don’t like to ice my body because it can delay the healing process, but I needed to decrease the swelling and pain. I’ve been dealing with some plantar fasciitis lately, and it’s forced me to take a little time away from the team to make sure this doesn’t turn into a lingering issue. In situations like this, it’s important to listen to your body and respect what it’s telling you. Hopefully, I won’t be away from the field for more than a week but we will take it day by day.
